regarding the processing of cookies

1. General provisions

1.1. This Policy regarding the processing of cookies is developed in order to fulfill the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated May 7, 2021 No. 99-З “On protection of personal data” and is one of the measures to protect personal data of users of the information resource www.gbexpert.by (hereinafter – the Site), the owner of which is GrandBusiness Expert LLC (103 Pobediteley Ave., office 507, Minsk, 220020).

1.2. Cookies are small pieces of data that are transmitted and stored on the user’s device when visiting the Site. With the help of these files the Site remembers information about the user and their device, including storing personal preferences and settings of the user, as well as “recognizes” the user and their device during the subsequent visit to the Site.

1.3. GrandBusiness Expert LLC processes cookies for the purposes of:

1.3.1. the correct functioning of the Site (including the ability not to re-enter the parameters of access to the Site previously filled in by the user);

1.3.2. ensuring security of the Site users (for example, recognizing malicious users (bots));

1.3.3. collection of analytical information in generalized form for evaluation and further improvement of the Site operation;

1.3.4. creating and providing personalized marketing and advertising materials.

1.4. GrandBusiness Expert LLC does not use cookies to identify a specific user of the Site.

2. Gain of user’s experience

2.1 The information we obtain through the use of cookie may include:

the date and time of visit to the Site;

the duration of the session when visiting the Site;

information about the pages of the Site visited by the user;

the number of times the user visited the Site during the month;

the URL file viewed by the user, as well as information related to it;

data about the information resource from which the user came to the Site;

information about the operating system and browser used by the user’s device.

3. Description of used cookie

3.1 The following types of cookies are used on the Site:

3.1.1. technical (essential) are required to ensure the proper functioning of the Site, including the correct use of the features offered on it, as well as for the accumulation of individual user settings. These cookies do not store any information about the user, which can be used for advertising (marketing) purposes or to assess their behavior on the Site. Such data is not transferred to third-party analytical systems;

3.1.2. analytical cookies allow evaluating how users interact with the Site, including calculating the number and duration of visits to the Site, understanding how users reach the Site, which pages of the Site they visited, etc., which helps to improve the performance of the Site and make it more easy-to-use;

3.1.3. advertising (marketing) cookies are used to provide users with personalized marketing and advertising materials based on their interests, as well as information about the pages visited by users, including on other information resources.

3.2 GrandBusiness Expert LLC uses session and persistent cookies depending on the storage period.

Session cookies are stored only during a browser session. Persistent cookies are stored for the time specified in the cookie settings or until deleted by the user.

3.3 Depending on who set (generates) the cookies, they are divided into first-party cookies, which GrandBusiness Expert LLC sets (generates), and third-party cookies, which third parties generate and we use as a tool to analyze the user’s interaction with the Site, as well as to customize marketing and advertising materials relevant to the user’s interests.

3.4 The list of used cookies with the indication of their functional purpose and the period of their storage is given in the Annex to this Policy.

4. Transfer of information about Site users to third parties

4.1 To achieve the purposes specified in subparagraphs 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 of paragraph 1.3 of this Policy, GrandBusiness Expert LLC transfers information collected using analytical and advertising (marketing) cookies to the following third parties, which we engage to process cookies and which implement sufficient measures to protect personal data:

5. Cross-border information transfer

5.1 GrandBusiness Expert LLC, using third-party cookies provided by third parties specified in Section 4 of this Policy, performs cross-border data transfer not related to the identification of a particular user.

5.2 The cross-border data transfer from cookies is carried out to the states where the appropriate level of protection of the rights of personal data subjects is ensured.

5.3 As part of the functioning of Google Analytics, GrandBusiness Expert LLC may transfer aggregated data (combined into a common array of information about users based on their behavioral characteristics) not related to the identification of a particular user to servers of Google, Inc. located in countries that do not ensure the appropriate level of protection of the rights of personal data subjects.

5.4 In this regard, GrandBusiness Expert LLC informs users about the existence of risks arising from the lack of an adequate level of personal data protection in such foreign countries:

absence (fragmentation) of personal data legislation;

absence (limitation) of the rights of personal data subjects, the obligation of the operator to respond to the requests of the personal data subject;

absence of an authorized body for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects;

absence (limitation) of liability measures for violations of the rights of personal data subjects;

risk of wide access to personal data by law enforcement authorities of different countries;

the risk of using illegal ways of access to personal data and their unlawful use.

6. Legal basis for the processing of cookies

6.1 Since GrandBusiness Expert LLC can ensure full and correct functioning of the Site, including the security of its use, only with the use of technical (essential) cookies, this type of cookies cannot be turned off using the functionality of the Site and is processed regardless of the user’s consent.

If such cookies are turned off using browser settings, GrandBusiness Expert LLC cannot guarantee the correct operation of the Site.

6.2 With regard to analytical and advertising (marketing) cookies, GrandBusiness Expert LLC offers the user, when visiting the Site for the first time, to consent to the use of cookies or to refuse their use by clicking the “Accept” or “Reject” buttons on the pop-up information banner.

By clicking the “Accept” button, the user agrees to the processing of analytical and advertising (marketing) cookies. By clicking the “Reject” button, the user refuses to use them.

The user can also choose to use a specific type of cookie by clicking “Customize” link on the pop-up information banner.

6.3 The Site stores user cookie settings for 1 (one) year. At the end of this period, the Site will again request the user’s consent by displaying a pop-up information banner.

The user of the Site may change their choice, as well as refuse to use cookies before the expiration of the period specified in this paragraph by clicking the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the main page of the Site.

7. Turning off of cookies in browser settings

7.1 Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. The user can delete previously stored cookies by selecting the appropriate option in browsing history. In addition, some browsers allow visiting sites in “incognito” mode to limit the amount of information stored on computer and automatically delete certain types of cookies.

7.2 The user can also turn off the use of cookies by changing browser settings. 7.3 The user may restrict the storage and use of data collected through the use of cookies from Google Analytics by using the plug-in available for download at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7.4 The user may refuse the storage and use of data collected through the use of cookies from Yandex Metrics by using the plug-in available for download at https://yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html.

7.5. Since cookies used by GrandBusiness Expert LLC allow the user to effectively use the functionality of the Site, personalize its content by recording user preferences, and customize advertising and marketing materials relevant to the user’s interests, we recommend leaving cookies enabled.

8. Assistance in exercising rights related to the processing of cookies

8.1 The user has the right to request assistance in exercising their rights on issues related to the processing of cookies from the person responsible for internal control over the processing of personal data of GrandBusiness Expert LLC by sending the e-mail to info@gbe.by.

8.2 To familiarize with other issues related to the protection of personal data in GrandBusiness Expert LLC, including information on the rights related to the processing of personal data, as well as the mechanism for their implementation, one can within the Regulation on processing and protection of personal data.
